ProE/ Creo Drawing options (.DTL file/ command explanations) – 2

Below are the commands/ syntaxes that control the behavior of the ProE/ Creo drawing. It has a .dtl extension and can be opened and edited using any standard text editor like notepad. The explanations of these commands can be found on the other pages of this website. You can also use the Google search box to find the help topic.

Def_Xhatch_Break_Margin_Size

Sets the default space around the texts when breaking hatches.

Default_Show_2D_Section_Xhatch

Determines whether hatches to be displayed or not for cross sections in drawings.

Draw_Cosms_In_Area_Xsec

Controls display of cosmetic sketches, datum curves in drawings that lie in the cutting plane.

Remove_Cosms_From_Xsecs

Controls display of cosmetic sketches, datum curves in views with full cross sectional views.

Show_Quilts_In_Total_Xsecs

Determines if surfaces and quilts are included in a drawing cross sections.

Datum_Point_Shape

Controls the shape of the datum points in drawings. The default is cross (X).

Datum_Point_Size

Controls the size of the datum points in drawings.

Hidden_Tangent_Edges

Controls the display of “hidden” tangent edges in views.

Hlr_For_Datum_Curves

Determines if datum curves are included in hidden line display for views.

Hlr_For_Pipe_Solid_Cl

Controls the display of pipe centerlines that are created using Pro/Piping.

Hlr_For_Threads

Controls the display of threads in drawing views. Thread_standard controls Hlr_For_Threads.

Thread_Standard

Controls the display of threaded holes and cosmetic threads with an axis perpendicular to the screen in drawings.

Associative_Dimensioning

On/ off  associative dimensioning for draft entities in drawings.

Ang_Unit_Trail_Zeros / Draw_Ang_Unit_Trail_Zeros

Determines if zeros after the decimal point are displayed for angular dimensions and angular tolerances.

Clip_Dimensions

Clips the witness line to be shown with double arrow for dimensions that are not shown fully in the detailed view.

Clip_Dim_Arrow_Style

Sets the type of arrow to be used for “Clip_Dimensions” setting. Eg. Double arrow.

Default_Angdim_Text_Orientation / Angdim_Text_Orientation

Controls the orientation of angular dimensions in drawings.

Default_Clean_Dim_Increment

Sets the default increment value for “Cleanup dimensions” option.

Default_Clean_Dim_Offset

Sets the default offset value for “Cleanup dimensions” option.

Default_Dim_Elbows

Determines whether to display elbows for newly created dimensions.

Default_Orddim_Text_Orientation / Orddim_Text_Orientation

Controls the orientation of ordinate dimensions in drawings.

Dim_Fraction_Format

Controls the display of fractional dimensions in drawings.

Dim_Leader_Length

Controls the length of dimension leader lines when arrows are flipped outside.

Dim_Text_Gap

Determines the gap between the dimension text and leader line.

Dim_Trail_Zero_Max_Places

Sets the maximum number of decimals to be displayed for dimensions and tolerances to match the default_dec_places value.

Draft_Scale

Sets the scale for dimension values of draft entities.

Draw_Ang_Units

Determines the display of angular dimensions in a drawing. i.e. Deg, Deg min sec..

Dual_Digits_Diff

Controls the display of number of digits for secondary dimensions relative to the primary dimensions.

Dual_Dimension_Brackets

On / off the bracket display for dual dimensioning.
