Parts and assemblies are shown in the preview window by default. However for drawings you need to change the default setting in the config.pro file. You can do this using the options inside ProE/ Creo or by directly editing the config.pro file.

Inserting Symbols into Notes
There are two ways to get symbols inside notes. I take the text type “Symbol” to explain this topic since it is available in ProE by default. You can try other fonts too but it will cost you some more time.
Tolerance table and setup- Hole and shaft tolerances
click on the standard then ISO/DIN press middle button and click Tol table and retrieve. You will see a tolerance directory window. Select all .ttl files and press open. Press ok when asked for regeneration. Click done/return for all and come out of tol setup.
Using saved sections/drawings in sketcher
Instead of making sketches every time in the sketcher mode, we can save and retrieve the sketches that is often used. We have options to reuse an already saved sketch (.sec) or a drawing (.drw). Lets see one by one.
Aligning and moving views in drawings
Projection views are always aligned in ProE/ Creo drawing. That means you can not move a projection view away from the projection lines however you can move the view along the projection lines back and forth or up and down depending upon the projection.
Diameter dimension – Display as linear/ straight
This video shows how to change the orientation of a diameter dimension. To get a perfect horizontal or vertical, a snap may be used.
You can also do this using the drawing properties. Open the drawing properties and just check the “show as linear dimension” in and click ok. (See image on left side).
