Pro E / Creo Config.pro options and explanations

Below are the commands/ syntaxes that control the behavior of the ProE/ Creo completely. It has a .pro extension and can be opened and edited using any standard text editor like notepad. The explanations of these commands can be found on the other pages of this website. You can also use the Google search box to find the help topic.

 

Sketcher_Starts_In_2d

Available options: Yes , No

 

Controls the default orientation of the model inside the sketcher while going through other features like extrude etc.

Clock

Available options: Yes , No

 

Displays a analog clock while Creo is working on a task normally when it takes some time to complete the action. Similar like a loading bar in browsers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Start_Model_Dir

Available options: Selection of a directory

 

The complete path of the directory that contains start parts and assemblies (Template parts and assemblies) is given here. You can copy paste the path or use the browse option.

 

Trail_Dir

Available options: Selection of a directory

 

The complete path of the directory where you want ProE/ Creo to create the trail files is given here. By default trail files are created in the startup directory.

 

Transparency

Available options: Yes , No

 

Displays the transparency of the transparent colors / materials that are applied to parts, surfaces etc. Example: In the bellow part, Glass material is applied to the pins.

Fast_Highlight

Available options: Yes , No

 

Controls the display of the features, parts, surfaces etc when the mouse is hovered over them to select. Example: In the bellow part,the mouse is hovered over the pin to select.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                    Fast_Highlight is set to YES                                                                                     Fast_Highlight is set to NO

 

Enable_Auto_Regen

Available options: Yes , No

 

Auto regenerates the model when a value is changed on the graphics window using EDIT option (or by double clicking it) it. If set to NO you have to manually regenerate to apply the changes.
