Now open the WHITE instance ,Create a new copy feature of all surfaces and apply the white color as explained in the previous page. Name the copy feature as WHITE. Do this only in the instance and don’t forget to save it.

Next open the BLUE instance, Create a new copy feature of all surfaces and apply the blue color. Save it. Similarly proceed with the third instance.

And that’s it. Whenever you open the instance it opens with the color you applied.

If you open the generic and see the family table, you will notice that the copy features that were created in the instances are added to the family table automatically and that's how it works. Just replace all ‘*’ with ‘N’. If you have too many instances, just edit all of them using the excel option in the family table. See the marked icon in the image.
